Sublime to the ridiculous? A feature of sporting occasions all around the world. Whether it be a player for Dalton United under 8s bagging a late winner in the derby at Crooklands or Wayne Rooney's overhead screamer to win the Manchester derby last year, sport is full of magical moments. The kind that we dream of. And yet sport produces in equal capicity; ridiculous acts. I mean Richard Dunne, an international defender, has somehow managed to score 9 Premier League own goals. 9! Thats the kind of thing you'd get stick for in the playground.
I must admit that writing this blog I am not sure where it will lead me, hence the title.
One thing I am sure about is that sport is my passion. My head overflows with statistics, whether it be from the latest round of County Championship fixtures or if I'm reaching deep into my reserves of knowledge, to remember who once scored the winning goal for my beloved Preston North End. This blog will hopefully offer an all round sporting view, although will most likely centre around football and cricket, my biggest interests.
Part of my motivation for doing this, is that I'm 17 and in my final year of college, before heading off to a currently unknown location for university. My dream is to study history at university and then become a sports journalist, wherever possible. So what better way to start than by blogging about something on which I actually have a bit of knowledge.
Anyway, enough background information about me, my personality should become more evident through my writing.
